It is something of a half review since I'm only halfway through the 24 episodes. I have become absurdly fond of Asian Dramas, especially their romantic comedies. I can't really explain it. It's like my Russian and Turkish melodrama phase of yesteryear. I like good writing and I will read subtitles if the acting is on point.
That said, Mr.Bad does indeed have good writing and acting. It is a realistic fantasy about an aspiring author who accidentally wishes for an unforgettable love, inadvertently bringing her villain to life. He is more than a little put out about time traveling 500 years into the future. Since he wants to return to his own life, he decides to help her get a boyfriend so that her wish will come true. He didn't plan on falling for her himself. Nor did she.
There is a side story about how our heroine's boss is in love with his business partner but is so socially inept that he struggles with confessing his feelings. It's mildly painful to watch. I mean it's enjoyable but still painful.
Overall, Mr.Bad is a wonderful Chinese Romantic Comedy series that I probably will rewatch at some point. If there is any one out there who shares my opinion, feel free to leave a message below.
P.S. I finished it. The end was so beautiful that I cried a little. I'm going to rewatch the last two episodes so that I can relive those moments.
