A Girl Who Sees Smells
The other day I wasn't feeling so well. I didn't feel like reading but wanted to do something to pass the time. So I tried to watch a new series (new to me, it's actually kinda old).
So, I started watching it. LS2 was in the room listening to an audio book. Somehow, she ended up right by my side, laughing and exclaiming with me. By episode 2, two more siblings joined me.
All while this is happening, I am asking myself " Why are you coming now?" They pretty near abandoned the series we were working on to watch shows with LB3. I want to finish it but I don't know if they will come for that. Though to be honest, it did reach a slight slump. But they should push through and stop laying on my legs to see what I am watching. Now I can't finish that show without her.
As always, feel free to leave me a message below.
At the time I write this, my toes are as cold as it is outside. LB2 and I went for a walk today and I am still trying to warm back up. But I noticed a curious thing as we walked. I saw signs that spring is around the corner.
I saw the little nubs of our peonies poking cautious little heads out the ground. I saw baby iris blades tentatively revealing themselves. And young daffodils showing their greenery. Lb2 said it was a bit early for them to be showing up. "Them" being the daffodils.
He said the peonies must have loved all the snow and cold we got this winter. That was probably why their nubs were poking out. We might have big luscious blooms this spring. He also mentioned that it was normal to see iris blades this early.
I enjoy looking at the seasons change around me. Watching the world around me come alive each spring is a experience I don't want to take for granted. As always, feel free to leave me a message below.
