I have no idea what to write

That name pretty much explains itself, doesn't it? I can't seem to get all my thoughts together long enough to write something worth while. I was going to post a review on a lovely mystery I read but I can't seem to get it right.

I am not listening to any new music or audio books. I'm just..... me. I feel sort of like I'm in a creative limbo which sucks on so many different levels. I just can't seem to get it out on paper. Or digital paper.

Side note:  William Thackeray's middle name was, I tell you no lie, Makepeace. Why, oh, why torture your kid like that?

That is all for now.

This is what's up!

My mom and I are starting work on a novel. Whether it gets up and runs, we'll find out. I'm so excited!

Staring a new story is like getting to meet a new person. There is no other way for me to describe it. It's new, exciting, and more than a little stressful at times.

So if I seem distracted, this might be the reason why.

Ruelle

10 Memorable Ruelle Songs Featured on Shadowhunters - Pop ...Margaret Eckford (born November 21, 1985), better known by her stage name Ruelle, is an American electropop singer-songwriter.Her music has been used on television series such as the opening theme songs of Dynasties (Game of Survival), Shadowhunters (This Is the Hunt), and The Shannara Chronicles (Until We Go Down).

Born the middle child of three sisters, Eckford grew up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and attended a private Christian high school. She attended music school in Sydney, Australia. Ruelle is now based in Nashville, Tennessee. She adopted the French word "Ruelle" as her stage name because she liked how it gave off a sense of darkness and mystery, and how it has multiple meanings, including "chamber" and "wolf".

I found her music so cathartic that I just had to blog about her. Music is below.

1. Recover

2. The Other Side

 3. Find You

4. Carry You

I hope you all enjoyed that. As always, leave everything below.

Vincent Bueno

Vincent Mendoza Bueno (born 10 December 1985) is an Austrian singer of Filipino descent. Both his parents are of Ilocano origin. Along with his native German language, Vincent can speak English and conversational Tagalog.
Bueno started dancing at the age of 4. He later graduated in music and performing arts at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. He was Austria's ESC 2020 contestant but since that got cancelled, we will be seeing him perform in 2021. Consider this your sneak-peek. And yes, he is pretty darn good.

Blas Canto

Blas was born on October 26, 1991, to a family of Nicaraguan emigrants. He also has partial Mexican descent. He rose to prominence as a member of the Spanish band Auryn. In 2017, he embarked on a solo career. His debut studio album Complicado was released in September 2018.

Image result for blas cantoI discovered this incredible man earlier this year as Spain's Representative in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Sadly, ESC 2020 was canceled and Senor Canto wasn't able to show the world how awesome he is, this year anyway. Spain has opted to send him as their Rep for ESC 2021. We got a whole year to soak up his music.

So to make up for this very sad fact, I thought we could jam to him here. Right now. All you got to do is scroll and click on the selection below.

1. El No Soy Yo

2.Universo
3.No Volvere

4. Hang Ups

5. Sed De Ti

I Hope you all enjoyed the music. Feel free to leave comments and all that jazz below.

Why I love to read

This is a question I have really never tried to answer before so bear with me.

I love to read because I can lose (and/or find) myself in another time and/or place. I can learn, I can grow, I can experience a piece of life that I otherwise wouldn't have a chance to. I journey with each character as they grow and learn to be their best (or worst) selves. I learn how to get into their mind, see how they tick, figure out what makes them go. I can figure the puzzles, see through that intricate web the author has made and sometimes, if it's a really good one, I may just wrap myself inside and wait til the end to come out. Sometimes I find a connection with a character that is almost visceral.

For as long as I can remember, curling up with a story has been a way to relax, find comfort, or even forget. It's my ticket to new and exciting places. Even when the story is over and I have long since put the book down, I find that I still have a piece with me. In my mind there is a memory of a story that will float to the surface and make me laugh or sigh, sometimes at the most inopportune moments.

My love for books is a well-known fact in my family. So well known that they tend to pick up free books sometimes to bring them to me. My love for reading has overtime turned into another love, Writing. It is something that is bone-deep and inescapable. It is part of what this whole blog is about. And I hope that someone, somewhere gets what I am saying because deep down inside them, they feel it to.

So now that I have given you all a nerdy bit of myself, feel free to do the same below.

Lessons from Disney

These are the various things I have learned over the years from the Disney movies I
watched as a kid and even now.

Toy Story: Cowboys and Spacemen can be friends.

Toy Story 2: Never trust toy collectors who own toy miners.

Toy Story 3: Never trust Purple Bears.

Toy Story 4: You can always make your friends.

Sleeping Beauty: Invite everyone to your parties or nobody at all.
There is no in-between.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves: Never eat food strangers give you
unless you have a death wish.

Beauty and the Beast (1991): Maybe there is a nice person in there,
also libraries will always make you happy.

Alice in Wonderland (1951): Never follow a rabbit down a hole.

Pinocchio: Always listen to the cricket.

Cinderella (1950): Mice make good friends.

Peter Pan: Your Dad isn't so bad.

The Aristocats: The butler did it.

The Jungle Book (1967): You can trust wolves, bears, elephants and Panthers but
never tigers, also always carry fire with you.

Oliver and Company: Being alone and Homeless in NYC is no fun.

The Little Mermaid (1989): Life gets complicated when you can't talk.

Aladdin (1992): Never walk into a magical sand cave.

The Lion King (1994): Hakuna Matata.

Pocahontas: Sometimes you need to save your boyfriend from getting killed.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame: Sometimes a movie is nothing like the actual book,
also find a great hideout from crazy obsessed men.

Mulan (1998): With a little (a lot) of hard work and determination,
you too can fight like a warrior.

The Emperor's New Groove: Be careful what you drink.

Lilo & Stitch: Aliens make great pets.

Treasure Planet: Space Pirates Exist.

Meet the Robinsons: You don't need to be related to be a family.

Bolt: How to get your head unstuck.

Tangled: Frying Pans make wonderful weapons.

Wreck-It-Ralph: Villains have feelings too.

Zootopia: Not all Foxes are bad, also sloths really do run the DMV.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Long distance friendships can work.

Frozen: Let your family in.

Frozen 2: If you don't want someone to follow you into fire, don't run into fire.
Also, sisters are forever.

A Bug's Life: Grasshopper Gangs are scary.

Finding Nemo: A Dad would go to any length for his child.

Cars: Never get a big head.

Cars 2: Just 'cause you talk slow, don't mean you are slow.

Cars 3: Sometimes you need to go back to your roots.

WALL-E: Robots can have love stories too.

Inside Out: It's okay to talk about your feelings.

Big Hero 6: Animated movies really can rip your heart out.

The Incredibles: It can be hard being a secret superhero.

The Incredibles 2: It's even harder when you have an extremely powered baby.
