My aunt swung by today and dropped off a discarded project from one of her clients who asked her to find a new home for it. She was initially planning on making an afghan but stopped right before assembling the pieces she crocheted.
I had been wanting to make a afghan for a bit but didn't want to do all the piecework. Hee hee, now I don't have to! I am beyond giddy. I will take before and after pictures for you all.

Outside, it is currently raining. I had planned at the beginning of the week to wash some laundry and hang it outside to dry (I like the scent of sun-dried clothes). LB2 and I also planned on dying a skirt of our mother. But thanks to the rain, it will be a job for future us.
On Monday, I bought some permanent fabric paint. I had all the kids pick out what the wanted to put on their shirts. Now, we just need to gather them all up. Hopefully it goes well. I'll put a picture up when we finally get around to doing it.
The kids ideas were a 50/50 mix of "that sounds cool" and "You will not get me in trouble for putting that on your shirt". They were joking around, trying to get a rise out me. They semi succeeded. I won't tell you what their bad ideas were. I'll just say that if I saw an adult wearing a shirt with their phases, I'd think they have a very, very dark sense of humor. It looks super out of place and concerning on a child. But since I know that said child in question says whatever they think will trigger people for fun, I'm ignoring it. If they had a YouTube channel, I think they would make rage bait.

I am in day 2 of a migraine. I'm just going to sit in this dark room like a weirdo and pray I don't puke 'cause the sounds were too loud, this light too bright, and my head was about to become a pinãta post-strike.

LB2 and I did it! We dyed some shirts and other fabric. I will put the photos below.
These are some before and during the dyeing and drying process pictures. I also included a picture of us getting our mulberry pigment. Yes, we used mulberries and turmeric powder for our two dyes.
We tried to tie-dye some shirts but the end result was way too pastel to be satisfying. We will try again. End result pictures below. (Sidenote: The picture of the purple shirt didn't come out well so I won't include it).
